Exploring the World, One Yelp at a Time.
My StoryI was born in Toronto, Canada, where its population takes pride in being diverse. Of course, it can't be compared to Houston, but it's a close second. I've made it my mission to explore the world and learn about different cultures through different foods. Meals bring people together and they are the staple for experiences and memories. Through my Yelp Elitist status, I hope to connect with different people through our similar passions for food.

Moving to Houston
Eyes Finally OpenTo be honest, I didn’t really see the difference in food between Toronto and Houston at first. As years go by, I discovered many different types of food that I didn’t know existed. Halal, Malaysian, food truck hypes, tex-mex, Cajun/Creole, kolaches, and most importantly, crawfish. And why hasn’t anyone told me about etoufee or tamales?

Learning About Different CulturesSince moving to America, I’ve travelled to most of the states in the country. I even got the chance to try jerk chicken in Jamaica, conch salad in the Bahamas, vermicelli in Vietnam, seafood stew in Korea, sopas in Cozumel, street food in Cancun and cassava cake on the Cayman Islands. I’m on my journey to discover even more foods and more experiences.

Vacation, Destination, ExplorationThough our family started off with a rocky path, my parents were determined to be able to feed our family three meals a day. Now, every year, my family travels to a different destination for vacation. It became a mission for me to try each city’s signature dish.
